It’s no secret that the economic slump has been hitting the meetings and event industry – hard, in some cases.

To help planners save costs, Toronto-based Star Productions is offering what it calls Audio-Visual Bailout 2009.

Here’s how it works: Planners receive a 25-per-cent discount on all equipment rentals for every meeting, conference and special event booked before Sept. 1, 2009.

Note, however, that the offer does not include a discount from labour fees.
